Tom
Bogan, Cheyenne I am the
Special Projects Manager for the Cheyenne
Parks and Recreation Department. Currently I’m
working on bringing a Community Recreation
Center to Cheyenne and the surrounding area.
I look forward to working with the council to
bring a greater awareness of an active
lifestyle to the citizens of Wyoming. I
believe the council can be the catalyst to
enhance the existing partnership between
Parks and Recreation Departments and School
Districts across the state to provide the
physical opportunities all Wyoming citizens
need. I’m a graduate of the University of
Wyoming and enjoy following the Cowboy and
Cowgirl sport programs. My post college
activities include basketball, golf, walking
and some racquetball when I can find a court.

I am an auditor for the State Auditor’s
Office. I am working on my bachelor’s
degree in Elementary Education, and I hope to
begin teaching in Cheyenne soon. I enjoy
biking, running & lifting weights. I look
forward to annual bike tours with my brother.
I coach fall and spring soccer each year for
the Cheyenne Soccer Association. I am
interested in helping provide opportunities
for families throughout Wyoming to enjoy
active and healthy lifestyles.

A thirty-year career in intercollegiate
athletics included coaching women's
basketball at the University of Wyoming,
Deputy Commissioner of the Western Athletic
Conference in charge of championships, and
the Coordinator of Women's Basketball
Officials in the Mountain West Conference. I
am currently the color analyst for radio
broadcasts of the University of Wyoming
women's basketball games. The increasing
numbers of overweight and obese kids in our
state are alarming, and reversing this trend
is my number one reason for serving on the
Council.
Lucy
McVeigh, Cheyenne
I graduated from the University of Wyoming
with a Bachelors of Science degree in
Communication, and am partially through my
Masters in Communication. After having
my first of three sons back in1989, I decided
to quit my fulltime work at an insurance
agency and stay home with my baby. It
was then that I became certified to teach
aerobics classes. I’d found my
niche. I have continued working as a
fitness professional, furthering my
certifications in personal training and
Pilates instruction. My work has been
fun and challenging while affording me the
flexibility to be there for my children, now
ages 17, 14, and 10. I am currently the
coordinator of group exercise classes at FE
Warren, AFB, as well as an instructor
there. I am an instructor at LCCC,
teaching Pilates and Dance Aerobics. I
also teach after-school Pilates classes for
school district staff as part of their
wellness program. I do a great deal of
personal training, having been the personal
trainer at the Cheyenne Police Department,
various health clubs, and privately. I
am currently focusing more of my efforts
toward one-on-one Pilates instruction and
intend to open a Pilates studio.
Besides my interest in physical fitness, I am
an artist, working in pastels and pencil, and
a musician, playing piano, singing and
composing music. I hope to record a CD
of music that would be suitable for Pilates
classes and/or just relaxing to. I am a
native of Denver, Colorado, and live in
Wyoming because I love it here!!!
Dale
Ann Meeker, Powell
I have taught physical education and coached
here in Powell for the past 23 years. I
graduated from the University of Wyoming in
1979 and continue to follow the Cowgirl and
Cowboy athletic programs. I had the
priviledge of playing college basketball for
UW and Coach Margie McDonald. Physical
activity and quality of life are extremely
important to me both personally and
professionally. I have acquired some new
hobbies rescently, scuba diving and
trap/skeet shooting. I love anything
competitive and enjoy mother nature. In my
job, I have seen the increasing numbers of
overweight and obese students in my classes.
I hope that by serving on this committee that
I can provide kids and families with some new
activities to encourage an active, healthy
lifestyle.

I am a computer programmer for the State
Auditor's Office. I have been an avid runner
most of my life, running track and
cross-country for Torrington (1980-83) and
the University of Wyoming (1990-91). I am an
active member of the Fifty States and DC
Marathon Club and Group. I have run a
marathon in 29 of the states. I am an
elementary track coach for Buffalo Ridge
Elementary School. I enjoy hiking,
cross-country skiing, biking, and most other
outdoor activities. I am looking forward to
providing different activities to promote
physical fitness in the youth of today. I
believe more active alternatives to computer
games and television for our youth will
inspire the youth to become active adults and
parents.
Jeanne
Scheneman, Cheyenne
I work for Dept of Health, State Children's
Health Insurance Program, we help children
get health insurance. I'm a member of
the Council because I feel children need
direction to get off the couch and walk, play
or move around. Obesity is rising at an
alarming rate and we need to get children
exercising.
Tammy
Till, Cheyenne
I work for the State of Wyoming, A &I
(Administration and Information), Employees’ Group
Insurance section. My position at the State has
developed into the statewide wellness coordinator,
which is a great match for my at-home and
professional life. I am an advocate of promoting
healthy lifestyles, for all ages, through exercise
and nutrition. I have been a volunteer youth
basketball coach for the YMCA, activities planner
and softball coach for my church, and a strong
supporter of the American Cancer Society; Relay for
Life and Race for the Cure. I enjoy most indoor and
outdoor physical activities including 5ks, softball,
hiking in the mountains, yoga, Pilates and weight
lifting. I am excited to be a part of the Governor’s
Council on Physical Fitness and Sports and it gives
me a great opportunity to reach outside my realm of
Wyoming State Employees to State of Wyoming
citizens.

Vincent, Council Chairman, Laramie [picture]
Employer: Wyoming Department of Environmental
Quality-Land Quality Division.
Sports and Fitness Interests &
Associations: I am currently the Vice-Chair
of the Wyoming Governor's Council on Physical
Fitness and Sports (Governor's Council),
serving my second (3-year) term on the
Governor's Council. As a member of the
Governor's Council I was involved in the
promotion of having Wyoming's school children
participate in the National ACES Day Campaign
(All Children Exercising Simultaneously)
through the Governor's Council.
I have always participated in sports and
outdoor activities. I played competitive
soccer during high school, college, and
post-graduation. I also coached the UW
Women's Soccer Club for two years
(1978-1980), as well as various youth sports.
I am an avid bicyclist (transportation,
access, racing, and just riding).
I am the Vice-Chair of Cycle Wyoming, Inc., a
non-profit bicycle advocacy organization
which organizes the annual Tour de Wyoming
bicycle tour. I'm on the planning board of
the Laramie Duathlon (a run-bike-run race in
it's second decade of existence). I am the
Chairman of Laramie Enduro, Inc., another
non-profit organization, that promotes the
Laramie Enduro, a 111K mountain bike race.
Profits from this race are distributed to
worthy local non-profit organizations in
southeastern Wyoming.
I would like to see the Governor's Council
become more proactive. I am also interested
in working towards promoting any program that
will educate and stimulate our school age
children to becoming more physically active
and healthier. I would also like to have the
Governor's Council become involved in with
WAHPERD (and their annual meeting), the
President's Fitness Challenge, Cowboy State
Games, and possibly an annual health and
fitness expo or symposium. I would like the
Governor's Council to develop a system/method
by which it could endorse various activities,
events, and/or races that promote physical
fitness.
